Heather Lamb, Chair

Heather is the Chair of the MLEF during the 2019-2020 school year and brings deep fundraising and non-profit board leadership experience to the Mary Lin Foundation Board.  She has served as a Trustee on the Mary Lin Foundation for 3 years.  Heather is a 4th generation Atlantan (on both sides) with a deep love for the city.  She graduated from Georgia Tech in 2001 where she met her husband, Dirk.  Together, they moved to Lake Claire in 2006 and now have a 4th grader; Avery, and new Kindergartner, Zachary at Mary Lin.  Heather is a commercial real estate broker for CBRE, Inc specializing in office leasing.  She has served as a board director or fundraising member for many organizations for Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, CREW Atlanta, The Frazer Center and The Atlanta Women’s Foundation and is excited to do the same for the Mary Lin Foundation.  In her free time, you’ll see her running in the neighborhood, swimming at Lake Claire pool with her two kids and spending time with neighbors. 

Molly Saft, Chair Elect

Molly Saft is a native Atlantan who never got out and has lived in Candler Park for the past 4 years with her husband, Andrew, and children Charlotte (1st grade) and Parker (Pre-K).  Molly is a Senior Brand Insights Manager at The Coca-Cola Company, where she has worked for almost a decade.  She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) focused in Marketing from University of Georgia - Terry College of Business in 2006. In her "free time" she finds herself volunteering to make her children's teachers' lives slightly easier or attempting to play tennis after a 25 year hiatus.

Katherine (Kat) Cooper, Trustee - Past Chair

The Chair of the MLEF during the 2018-19 school year, Kat Cooper serves as the past chairman of the Mary Lin Foundation for the 2019-2020 school year to ensure a seamless transition to the new leadership. Kat brings an extensive background in fundraising and nonprofit administration to the Mary Lin Foundation Board. She served as the Annual Fund Manager for 4 years at Pace Academy, an independent school in Atlanta and spent ten years as Project Manager for Camp Twin Lakes, a non-profit that provides life changing experiences to Georgia’s children with serious illnesses, disabilities, and other life challenges. Kat lives in Candler Park with her husband Brett and their two sons - Anders, a rising 2nd grader at Mary Lin, and Avery, a rising Kindergartner. 

Billy Eiselstein, Trustee - Events

Billy Eiselstein lives in Inman Park with his husband, Andy Greene, and their two sons Alex and Jack Greene, who are in third and first grades at Mary Lin. Billy is an attorney at Miller & Martin, where he is the firm's general counsel and practices in the field of business litigation. He went to college at Emory University and, after attending law school at the University of Tennessee and working in his native Chattanooga, returned to Atlanta in 1998. Although he tried to forget about his past fundraising work, he is excited to support the cause of public education through the Foundation.

Zaid Duwayri, Treasurer

Zaid and his wife, Dima, moved to Candler Park in 2012 and that's when their oldest child, Farris, entered kindergarten at Mary Lin. They have 2 other boys, Laith (3rd Grade) and Jad (preschool). Zaid is very active in the community and has served on the Candler Park Neighborhood Organization's board for 4 years; 2 years as CPNO President. Zaid holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Central Florida and an MBA from Emory University. He is a sales executive with JDA Software, an enterprise supply chain software company.

Alyson Godwin, Secretary

Alyson Goodwin received her BA in English Literature from Rice University and her MD from Emory University.  She completed residency training at the University of California, San Francisco and worked in medical education at UCSF and in student health at UC Berkeley before returning to Atlanta in 2013 to take her current position as Associate Director for Psychiatry Services at Emory University Student Health Services. She lives in Candler Park with her husband Andy Lackey, daughters Lila and Sylvie (third- and first- graders at Mary Lin), cat Jello, and puppy Buttercup. In her free time she practices yoga and reads.   

Sarah-Nell Walsh, Trustee - Communications

Sarah-Nell Walsh has lived in Lake Claire for 10+ years with her husband, Albert Guthrie.  She is an executive coach, helping ambitious professionals optimize their careers, hone their leadership skills, and navigate the intersection of life + work. Prior to coaching, Sarah-Nell was a litigation partner at a 700+ attorney AmLaw 100 firm. Sarah-Nell graduated from the University of Virginia and received her Juris Doctorate from the College of William & Mary. She is a proud mother to a fifth grader, a second grader, and a (hopefully growing) number of foster children. 

Emily Kotzan, Trustee - Grant Coordinator

Emily Kotzan holds a Master's of Education from Georgia State University and has 15 years of experience teaching High School History in public and private school settings. During that time she became credentialed to teach Gifted students and later taught in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. She went on to be a regional leader in assessing the work of students worldwide for IB. A firm believer in the benefits of travel, Emily spent time teaching in both Ecuador and Singapore. Eventually, she returned to Atlanta and taught at the Atlanta International School until her third child was born. Most recently, Emily served as a member of the Founding Board at Freedom Park Preschool and a Mary Lin room parent. Emily has three children at Mary Lin – Jules and Henry, rising 3rd graders, and Mae, a rising 2nd grader. 

Peter Kruskamp, Trustee - Fundraising

Peter moved to Lake Claire in 2012 just prior to the birth of his first child. Peter and his wife, Stephanie, now have three children, including a first grader at Mary Lin. Peter has a history in education as a former elementary school teacher in Gwinnett County. Currently, Peter is Associate Broker at The Shumacher Group, a commercial real estate firm specializing in restaurant and retail transactions, as well as Principal and Broker for Shumacher Property Management Group, a residential and commercial property management firm.
