What is the Mary Lin Education Foundation?
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides resources and long-range planning to Mary Lin Elementary in Atlanta, Georgia. Our Board of Trustees works with the school's Leadership Team to spotlight projects that will improve teaching resources, student achievement, and the educational environment for our children. Our projects are supported by corporate funding, grants, and individual donations.
What is the difference between the PTA and the Foundation?
An easy way to distinguish between the two is that the Foundation provides for QUALITY of EDUCATION while the PTA enhances the QUALITY of LIFE at Mary Lin.
Mission
- To support and speak on behalf of children
and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and
other organizations that make decisions affecting children.
- To assist parents in developing the skills
they need to raise and protect their children.
- To encourage parent and public involvement
in the public schools of this nation.
